This elegant Dried Fruit & Nut Loaf is part of the set table at Christmas, but not only that time. With a little seasonal decoration it can be made beautiful and festive any time even at Easter. Hungarians usually call this cake “Christmas Bishop Bread”, but its popular name is “Fruit Bread” in all around the world.

This Bishop Bread made with shredded mixed dried fruits stays fresh for a long time. I bake this fruit bread in different versions to order such as regular, keto-friendly (with erythritol & monk fruit extract), gluten-free or vegan.


The regular version made with all purpose flour, but for the gluten-free version I use rice and almond flours.

Every Fruit Bread version, like regular, gluten-free, keto-friendly on vegan, includes prunes, apricots, orange peel, raisins, dates, cranberries, blueberries, apple and various seeds and chopped dark chocolate.
