From Europe to Canada: A Sweet Chocolate Journey

Our journey began 15 years ago when my husband and I—living on different continents at the time—connected through our shared passion for photography. At that time, he was living in Canada, and I was working in Europe as an IT specialist for the Hungarian Defense Forces. Now, after 25 years of service as a veteran, I’ve embraced my hobbies and focused on creating sweets in Canada, bringing joy with both our regular and ‘guilt-free’ treats.

Although my career was in technology, I’ve always been drawn to creative arts, and my love for cooking and baking turned into a lifelong passion. I started working with chocolate in 2013, learning from the best at the Szamos Marzipan Chocolate School. My creations first reached local Christmas markets through social media, bringing joy to family and friends alike.

The Birth of Our Business

After moving to Canada, we focused on crafting healthy keto, gluten-free, and sugar-free desserts. I shared my original recipes on the “Andrea’s Keto World” website, and soon our friends and neighbors were enjoying our homemade, guilt-free chocolates. One day, when someone wanted to order chocolates from me, my husband said, “You should make chocolates for everyone!” That’s how Andrea’s Artisan Chocolates was born.

Today, our two-person team creates the finest artisan chocolates, cakes, and pastries for Canadian households.

We are Andrea and George, the team behind the business. While my husband mainly provides behind-the-scenes support, I handle the creative work, including baking, chocolate-making, and marketing.
